WHAT IS THE VIEWING ANGLES CALCULATOR?

The Viewing Angles Calculator is used to easily confirm the horizontal and vertical viewing angles and sight lines for a given screen size and height and maximum of four viewing locations.
The calculator allows the user to specify the details of the screen size and height to be analysed along with up to four viewing location heights and distances.
The report illustrates the horizontal and vertical viewing angles and sight lines from each viewing location along with their relative locations and indicates the minimum, recommended and maximum viewing distances.

The Viewing Angles Horizontal Angles page of the report is used to show the horizontal viewing angle for the combination of screen size and seating distances specified.
Cinema Tools uses a proprietary algorithm which optimises the viewing angle to the screen sizes. This data is then presented in a number of different formats and for each specified row.
The calculator also delivers results for the minimum, recommend and maximum seating distances from the screen.
